Your next board

Choose more room or more letters to plan with. Changes apply when you start a fresh board.

A longer preview helps you plan. A bigger board gives more room, but also more to scan. Words still have at least three letters and can run in all eight directions.

Words with a little gravity.

  1. Choose one of the eight column arrows. The next letter falls to the lowest empty space.
  2. The next three letters are visible. Use them to plan. You have three swaps per board.
  3. Make a word of at least three letters in a straight line, horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Backwards words count.
  4. Tap its first and last letters, or drag along it. Press Claim word. Valid British English words score their length squared.
  5. The claimed tiles disappear. Letters above them fall into the gaps. You can build and claim the same word again using new tiles.
  6. If the board fills, claim a word to make room or start a fresh board. There’s no timer.

This prototype uses the same British English word list as WordWell. It includes some uncommon words; we’ll use playtesting to decide how strict the vocabulary should be.
